Mexico
The Mexican economy is slowing down. Wages and labor income had very sluggish growth. Of the 1.6 million jobs created, 56% were in micro-enterprises with five or fewer workers; 43% of all jobs are in such enterprises. Unionization rates are falling. Remittances from the U.S. are also falling, reflecting the impact of the U.S. economic slowdown.
