Other media Argentina 2002-06 In late June 2006, just before Argentina was elimated from the World Cup, Pepe Robles, Research Director of the World of Labor Institute visited the Economic Policy Institute in Washingon, DC, and made a presentation on the Argentine economy and how the country went from crash to boom in less than five years. Particular attention was given to the positive impact of a sharp devaluation of the Argentine peso.
