Finacial Hardships Imposed by IMF, Not Result of Turkish Vote for Peace

The Turkish government argues that the rejection by Parliament of $24 billion from the US to allow Turkey to be used as a platform to invade Iraq, necessitates further austerity measures. This paper (in Turkish) shows that the new austerity measures are the end result not of peace, but of the economic program imposed by the IMF.
